After a break from comic conventions over December and January, we had two in February. Just like buses, wait for ages and two come along almost at once!

It’s great for us though. We got to showcase our latest manga Hot Lunch at the London Anime & Gaming Con as well as hold two talks on stage on each day of the event. Public speaking can be nerve-wracking, but when we get to talk about the mayamada universe, creating stories and comics we jump at the chance.

After LAGC, we exhibited at the London Super Comic Con for the first time and meet a whole host of great artists, old friends, and fantastic cosplayers…

London Anime & Gaming Con Recap

Our year of conventions got off to a great start with mayamada attending London Anime & Gaming Con earlier this month. LAGC is one of the more community focused conventions on the calendar and we joined some cool anime fans, gamers and exhibitors at the London Metropolitan University’s Rocket Complex.

We’ve been exhibiting at LAGC for a few years now and always enjoy the chance to spend more time speaking with the anime and gaming community. This time around was even better as we were given the chance to talk on stage about how we put together our manga books.

Of course we brought along our original anime inspired clothing, including a brand new kawaii t-shirt. The design features Hannah, one of the character from the 11th Hour story.

But the best treat was the thee flavours of Samurai Chef chocolate debuted at the convention! Green Tea, Cherry Blossom and Crunchy Noodles were a real hit at the convention with every bar gone by Sunday.

London Anime & Gaming Con

We’ll be making another appearance at the London Anime & Gaming Con this July 5th and 6th and we’ve got a lot in store for you.

A bit hit at February’s LAGC, and we’re bringing a new summer colour way of the popular Norio t-shirt design plus Norio phone cases for iPhone 4, 4S and 5.

You’ll also get to check out the upcoming Samurai Chef inspired snapback caps and get 10% off when they are released later in summer.

And last but not least, we’re bringing the Character Trail game to LAGC!

Find and scan the 7 mayamada characters hidden around the Rocket Complex for a chance to win a mayamada prize bag including t-shirts and comics.

Each character will give you letters that you have to rearrange to get the secret word.  The first person to complete the game and say the secret word at the mayamada stall will win.
