We’re really grateful to everyone who has attended our two GamePad events so far in 2019. The year got off to a great start with our New Year gaming celebration in north London. Being an events organiser means signing up to a rollercoaster of emotions in the lead up to the big day itself, and this was no different.

We’ve got another round of our favourite cosplay from the London Comic Con, the biggest convention on the UK calendar! It’s always a treat to meet dedicated cosplayers and witness what they’ve been working on for weeks and months.
If you’ve never heard of London Games Festival (LGF), we’ll forgive you, and consider this your club initiation. LGF is now in its 2nd year and backed by the none other than the Mayor of London. Sadiq Khan is into games? It sure looks like it!

It’s that time of the year when we look back at the highlights of the past 12 months. For us at mayamada, the GamePad Christmas event was the top of that list. Back in 2015, we released issue 1 of our story about a young Rabbit named Blake and his big ambitions of becoming a success in the big city known as The Jungle. A year on and we’re almost ready for the launch of the complete volume!
Being able to talk to people from all walks of life on their creativity has been amazing. Having discussions with creative characters, hearing about their unique creative experiences is the reason we wanted to do this project. We’re excited about this character in particular as he’s been a big part of the #BeCreative campaign from the start.
All types of people have been getting involved in the #BeCreative campaign. The response has been great, and seeing people express their creativity in their own unique way never gets old!
