What a day! I always look forward to doing photoshoots for new tees as each one is something different and our photoshoot last week was no exception.
You’ve seen the story behind the show and the characters featured in the design…now we can tell you about the t-shirt itself.
The day stared off at a nice pub called the Lemon Tree. They were kind enough to let us take over the upstairs for hair and make up. The models Andrees and Riyonn were expertly made up…
…while the rest of us waited…
Our photographer Jennifer did her best to avoid being seen in front of the camera…is this a photographer thing? Must be.
We like to create a story around the images we take for each design. The theme for this day was a shady pair of thieves out to steal some sushi.
After some lessons on how to be sneaky….
The two took to it like naturals.
Everyone was getting in on the act.
Once we were happy with the first set of pictures, we moved on to another location.
This time a concealed alley, keeping in with the mood of the day.
This part of the shoot called for some sushi. It has to be arranged precisely so we brought in some sushi arrangement technicians.
Now we can continue…
I don’t remember what the joke was, but it looks funny.
In Lao’s possession is the most important prop of the day…more on that in a bit.
The next batch of shots saw our two criminals actually stealing the sushi from some poor, unsuspecting person (that would be me) before making away with the prize.
It sucks when your sushi is stolen.
You may have noticed there’s only one chopstick in this picture…that’s because I dropped the other one down a drain…nothing much else to say about that so we’ll move on….
We had planned to do the last show with the shushi left over…but we ate it all. Not to worry, I popped over to another restaurant and bought some noddles (and more chopsticks) so we could get the final shots.
Believe it or not it is possible to hols chopsticks upside down!
He’s got it now…on to the last shots of the day.
We put the chopsticks to good use…
But it was difficult keeping hold of all the noodles 🙂
We ended with a group shot and one final surprise (remember that package I mentioned earlier?)
That’s right, mayamada cupcakes! Not all of them made it through the day upright, but they were still good.
the picture stopped suddenly…probably because we all started stuffing our faces with cupcakes! We have tons more pictures on our Facebook page you can check out though.
We’re now woking on editing the final pictures for the release of the new t-shirt on our website next week.
