Thanks to everyone that came down to the Frozen Yourt Party on April 13th, we filled both floor of Tutti Frutti in Covent Garden and had a fantastic day full of frozen yogurt and lots of new faces.

Pistachio & Honey will be at the Frozen Yogurt Party this Saturday 13th along with Tutty Frutti’s regular flavours.

We’re now just a couple of weeks away from the Frozen Yogurt Party and so far, you’ve heard about the frozen yogurt. You’ve heard about the pop up shop. You’ve heard about the video game tournaments and even the Giant Jenga.
What else is there to talk about right?
Wrong. We’re proud to reveal that London hip-hop artist Jaunty will be performing live at the Frozen Yogurt Party!
Jaunty has been an early supporter of mayamada and can be seen sporting their Samurai Chef tee in a recent video.

You can also pick up his EP on the night. All this is on top of a live DJ at the event, who will be providing a great music all throughout the event.
Jaunty will be performing from 9pm so make sure you grab a seat or any space going in what is sure to be a packed Saturday evening at Tutti Frutti.
Earlier this month we started a campaign to find a new frozen yogurt flavour combination to feature at April’s Frozen Yogurt Party.
Eight flavour options faced off in one on one rounds and mayamada fans have been voting all the way through for their favourites.

The last one-on-one matchup is still up in the air so head to our Facebook page now and vote for which of those two you want to see join the other three in the final round.

You’ve seen the preview, and now the books have been printed. That’s right, the Samurai Chef manga is complete and first run copies now available for order!
It was a long road and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us while putting this together over the last six months.
Now we can’t wait for you to see what’s inside.
The Samurai Chef Volume 1 will be available on the mayamada website in early April.
But you can get your copy early by getting in contact with us before that.
Get ready for our first event of 2013, coming this spring. We’re hosting a frozen yogurt party at Tutti Frutti, just off the Strand near Covent Garden.
This FREE, one day event is taking place on Saturday 13th of April 2013 from 3pm onwards and you’re invited!
There’ll be lots of frozen yogurt, games and our popup shop filled with t-shirts, snapback caps and the new Samurai Chef manga book for purchase!
Two hi-definition screens will be set up for video game play sessions plus two tournaments for prizes on the Xbox360 and new Wii U consoles.
Games will include Mario Kart, Beat the Beat, Fruit Ninja and Super Smash Bros. If you fancy yourself at any of these make sure you enter on the day.
There’ll also be a low-tech approach to gaming with the return of the giant Jenga tournament that was a big hit at the last Tutti Frutti event in July 2012.

This week will be of special interest to backers of the Just Desserts perk as we can now reveal the New Samurai Chef t-shirt design made specially for the project.
The design features the, err…watchful…face of the Samurai Chef alongside the bold lettering “Samurai Chef” in Japanese.
It’ll be available in both men and women fits and be on your way along with the book itself. Expect an email in your inboxes soon asking for preferred sizes before we make the print run next week.
For those that didn’t select this perk but are wishing they did, we’ll be making a limited run of the t-shirt and will have some left for purchase.
We’ll let you know the details of how to get them in the coming weeks, but you will have to be quick! Once it’s gone it will be gone forever.
We’re very close to the end now we can taste it…no pun intended!

So…world didn’t come to a screeching halt after all.
That’s great because we’re still working away on the Samurai Chef book and it would be a shame if we never got to finish it 🙂
In our last update we saw three different pets that were to become extras in the show and this week we can reveal the completed transformations!
Firstly we have our two cats Shiro and Kuro.
And last but not least we have the goldfish Diamond.
All three of these characters are being drawn into the show as we speak and will be seen when the book is finally release.
We’re now about a month away from the artwork for the being completed. Don’t forget that we will have a 15 page preview on Christmas Day too.
On our next update we will be able to show off the Samurai Chef t-shirt design that will be going backers who selected the “Just Desserts” perk.
