Taylor
Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Taylor! I’m currently a theatre student, voice actress, cosplayer, and incredibly occasional YoutTuber. I mostly cosplay Persona! I’ve been casually doing cosplay for a few years now!
What does creativity mean to you?
To me, being creative is about finding something that really speaks to you or finding something you connect with and putting that into art, whether it be cosplay, or poetry, or drawing. There’s an emotion to connect with there and being able to create something out of that is incredible.
Describe your creative process?
So far I’ve handmade my cosplay or bought it to alter it. My first step is always finding something accessible to me, being disabled, not all outfits are something I can wear. Once I figure it out, I decide: are they pieces I can just get, or do I need to make them?
With my P5Dancing Ann cosplay, I made the pieces from either scratch by hand (do not do pleats by hand, friends), or by altering (the crop top she wears was originally a cropped hoodie). Some are easier than most, but I always have fun doing alterations or making them from scratch, the customization is really important to me, especially considering there’s never anything truly in my size. I finally get to have something specifically accommodated to me, and I’m proud at the end of the day when I get to show it off.
When are you at your most creative?
Right after really diving into a series and discussing it with friends. Part of what got me so into Persona was engaging in it and being able to talk about all the things I loved about it and connected with.
Who is the most creative person to you and why?
I don’t know if I could pick anyone specifically. I find other cosplayers that don’t have the means to do these very high tech, high money cosplays to be the most creative to me. Cosplay is an expensive hobby, and not everyone has the funds for it. But taking something out of your closet, making the crops from things around your house, that sort of thing shows so much passion and creativity to me, and I’ve always really adored it.

Siti
Who are you and what do you do?
Hi! I’m Siti, I work full time but my hobbies include cosplay, gaming, drawing and going to cons with friends!
What does creativity mean to you?
Everything, it’s who I am and what I love doing! What I studied, what I do even now has everything to do with it. I love taking up the challenge if it means I get to grow on my creativity.
Describe your creative process?
It definitely depends on my mood, but hopefully excited for the most of it and the potential to see who far I can take it. The characters I cosplay have a lot to do with design and how I associate with them mostly. Heroes, villains, doesn’t matter to me! So long as I enjoy doing them.
When are you at your most creative?
Could be at any point, I can’t necessarily become spontaneous so I seize the moment when I’m feeling motivated.
Who is the most creative person to you and why?
Hard to single out only one person. This might be bit cheesy but definitely my friends and so many inspiring people I follow have helped shape how I portray myself. When I see someone online, new or old, it inspires me to always do better. And also appreciate how far I’ve come.

Emily
Who are
you and what do you do?
My name is Emily, but most people know me as Em! I’m a 20 year old broke university student, who enjoys cosplaying and drawing in my spare time. Despite being in the cosplay community for 4 years, I still consider myself an amateur.
My favourites to cosplay would definitely be Yamaguchi Tadashi (Haikyuu!!). Yams has gotten me the most attention on TikTok and I enjoy cosplaying him a lot, as I love his character development and believe he deserves more recognition. He’s my favourite character from the series and someone I relate to a lot.
What does creativity mean to you?
Creativity is the art of being able to express yourself through m
eans of arts, hobbies or basically anything! It is stepping out of social norms and doing something that you enjoy and think represents you best. I view it as bringing your thought process to life in a unique way and putting your mark on the world.
Describe your creative process?
I tend to cosplay characters who I can relate to in one way or another. It doesn’t matter to me if the character is not very popular, or another character has a better design. If I have a connection with them, I will wear the cosplay with pride.
I gain a lot of inspiration from other cosplayers and influencers online. I have been lucky enough to become acquainted with many over my 4 years of cosplaying who have given me both support and guidance throughout my cosplay journey.
When are you at your most creative?
I’d like to hope I am always creative and actively coming up with new ideas. I believe that’s why I got into my university course. However, I would say I am most creative when I am doing anything that I love. Any of my hobbies, that stimulate positive emotions, are when I feel most comfortable in my own skin and unafraid to be who I am.
Who is the most creative person to you and why?
I don’t think I can pinpoint just one person, as I believe everyone is creative in their own way, despite what their speciality may be. Expressing creativity shouldn’t be made into a competition; it should be a safe space to engage with other like-minded people.
So to answer the question: everyone! <3

Dmitriy
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Dmitriy, also known as Dlanor Tiger on the internet. Im 25 year old gay asian guy from Russia. I’m most known as a cosplayer and makeup artists. I do freelance work for other cosplayers/models and also model/cosplay myself.
What does creativity mean to you?
I feel like creativity is first of all being able to step out of the box. It doesn’t have to be pretty, it doesn’t have to be amazing and groundbreaking. It just has to be original. Never been seen before, something new, something exciting, something that makes you feel different. It doesn’t have to be successful in terms of reaction from social media, The most creative people i know some of them have less than 1k followers. Creativity isn’t always for everyone, but that’s the beauty of it.
Describe your creative process?
Honestly in my case it comes and goes. I can go for months without doing anything then suddenly pop out multiple characters, multiple photoshoots. It just depends on how inspired i am and what is going on around me. Of course the finances are important, sometimes the creativity is stopped by an empty wallet. I’ll be honest, i’m really bad at sewing and crafting so i usually order my stuff from other more talented people. I usually let myself go off in differe
nt areas like photoshoot planning, props, ideas for a theme etc. I feel like creating a costume and a look is only the half of the whole process.
When are you at your most creative?
When my wallet is full. I mean i’m not kidding, I’m very limited by my finances so when i have the money i usually really go off creatively because i know that i can do what i want without thinking like ‘Ugh i don’t have enough for this, i can’t afford this’.
Who is the most creative person to you and why?
I know its not cosplay related but lately I’ve been really inspired by Kandi Burruss, she is a very talented songwriter and just a hustler in general. So many different businesses and she is very successful in all of them, I’m just like honey yes, WORK. I want to be like that too and getting those cheques one day.

Tabatha
Who are you and what do you do?
My full name is Tabatha Jade Oakley, and I am 21 years old who studies Comic and Concept art at University in the UK. I want to become a concept artist for games and film. My other hobby is cosplay. I started cosplaying in October 2019 and love it still to this day. My favourite fandoms to cosplay from are My hero Academia and Danganrompa. Some other hobbies I have are clay model making and story writing.
What does creativity mean to you?
To me, creativity is whatever you want it to be. It is a very personal thing, and I love how different people interpret it in their own ways. For example , Making furniture is creative in it’s own way, but also completely different from cosplay. It has so much diversity!
Describe your creative process?
I get inspired by other cosplayers mostly, and I like to try and make my cosplays as canon as possible ,but that’s just what I like to do. I try to compile various things together and style my wigs myself. I like to make them a bit different sometimes.
When are you at your most creative?
I don’t have a particular time where I’m most creative, it’s just when I feel like it. Normally when I am not tired, and in a good mood that day.
Who is the most creative person to you and why?
I don’t have just one person that is most creative to me, I have many. My mother is an illustrator and has influenced me from a young age doing creative things. I also go to uni with many other creative people that boost my influence. Cosplay wise, I cannot pin point one creative person, as they are all amazing in their own way.
