We figure out which version of the animation each person has seen and then get into the characters and favourite moments in this coming of age story, with themes still incredibly relevant 30+ years later. We talked about the stunning 2D animation, dreams containing inevitable sadness and the controversy surrounding the wartime backdrop of the film and on top of that Nigel also discusses how to control the pacing of your story.
