We’ve been working on this for a while and we can finally announce our first release party on Friday 20th of July 2012!
Hang out with us, cool off with some frozen yogurt and see new mayamada t-shirts at our pop up shop in London’s Tutti Frutti.

The London Anime Convention is fast approaching and we’ll be there on the 11th and 12th of February at the The Rocket Complex London Metropolitan University.
As well as anime screenings, video games, manga and cosplay, there’s a chance to see the latest mayamada t-shirts and artwork posters on sale too.
We’ll also be unveiling our BRAND NEW limited edition hoodie at the show so make sure you’re there to see it 🙂
Check out the Anime League website for all the events happening over the two days. It’ll be our first appearance and we’ll be having fun with photos. Whether you’re a cosplayer our not they will be a chance at winning a prize for taking part in our photo competitions. All you have to stop by the mayamada stall and ask to join in – that’s it!
Last but not least, as sponsors of the show, 5 lucky people will be able to win t-shirts as part of the Anime Con event winners.
You can get your tickets here and be sure to visit our stall while you’re at the show 🙂
Last week saw the first in want will be many of our Anime Showtime events. Every so often, we’ll be showcase a cool anime film and inviting a bunch of people down to enjoy it with us.
This weekend saw our first appearance at the MCM Expo in East London. For those that don’t know about it, MCM is the biggest celebration of all things gaming sci-fi anime, manga, cosplay and general geekiness in the UK.
MCM is about the same as the New York Comic Con, but the cost of travel is much cheaper for us 🙂
We took the mayamada team down for three days of non stop standing on your feet, but it was so worth the lower back damage because we had an amazing time talking to loads of friendly and passionate people as well as make new friends and fans along the way.
Here are some of the best moments from the show…
We visited MCM in May but now that we had a stall we got to skip the lines.
Even though the area was massive, it didn’t take too long to find our spot.
Once we set up our stall we were off and running!
As we get our plans together for the MCM Expo, we want to let all you cosplayers know about our competition to win a free mayamada t-shirt.
The rules are simple…
We’ll announce who the lucky cosplayer is on Monday November 14th.
The MCM Expo is at the end of the month from the 28th – 30th of October. As well as our cosplay competition, we’ll have t-shirts for sale (including a brand new design), plus regular giveaways throughout the event.
We’ll be at MCM all 3 days so there’s plenty of time to stop by and take part to win a free t-shirt.
For some inspiration, take a look at some of the picks from the MCM Expo in May….
See you there ^_^
We have more pictures from the mayamada picnic the past month. Look out for a few videos from the day and a behind the scenes look as me put together the mayamada cupcakes 🙂
Thankfully umbrellas weren’t needed all day!
Everyone got stuck into the cakes as soon as they came out.
Everyone waited in anticipation for the t-shirt giveaway
One of the lucky t-shirt winners…
We’ll have to do another next summer. Check out our Facebook page for all the photos.
If you missed out on our photoshoot for our new t-shirt for our show Hot Lunch (available in guys and girls), check out the behind the scenes shots. There are tons of them!
The video is now done so you can see what we got up to on the day. Enjoy ^_^
It’s now only a few weeks until our picnic in Hyde Park and the excitement is building.
We’ll be in Hyde Park on the 20th of August for a fun day out to celebrate the end of summer, mayamada style. We’ll have FREE food and drink, a t-shirt giveaway and a few other surprises too 🙂
We recently got a bunch flyers printed to hand out and we’re putting together the menu and plans for entertainment. You keep up with our plans for the day on the event page.
What a day! I always look forward to doing photoshoots for new tees as each one is something different and our photoshoot last week was no exception.
You’ve seen the story behind the show and the characters featured in the design…now we can tell you about the t-shirt itself.
The day stared off at a nice pub called the Lemon Tree. They were kind enough to let us take over the upstairs for hair and make up. The models Andrees and Riyonn were expertly made up…
…while the rest of us waited…
