We’ve got another round of our favourite cosplay from the London Comic Con, the biggest convention on the UK calendar! It’s always a treat to meet dedicated cosplayers and witness what they’ve been working on for weeks and months.
And cosplay really helps to make the convention. Seeing creative people in the same place is such a visual treat. What’s more, as comics, films and TV trends change the cosplay on display changes too. So there is always something new and interesting to see!
Here are our top 10 cosplayers from the show, in no particular order. You can check out our full London Comic Con gallery on our Facebook page too.
Toy Story
We do like a good group cosplay. We’re also big Toy Story fans so this effort was bound to feature. It’s fantastic to see people coming together to bring these characters to life. Hopefully Andy didn’t leave them behind…
Borderlands
A brilliant Gaige cosplay from Borderlands by cosplayer @toyajax. It’s a superb accurate recreation of the character from head to toe complete with very well done props too, a definite one of our favourite cosplay from the Comic Con weekend.
Mercy (League of Legends)
This was a cool take on Mercy League of Legends. The good thing about cosplay is the ability to be creative and put your own spin on characters you love and that was done to impressive effect here.
Iron Man
We’ve seen a lot of Iron Man cosplayers across several conventions, but this version of Tony Stark at his most precarious position is something different, reminding us of a specific moment in the Infinity War story and invoking the emotions of his one-on-one battle with Thanos.
The Witcher
This is an amazing Witcher double act, Cirilla and Geralt look like they’ve come straight out of the Continent!
Elastigirl
This cosplay of Elastigirl is brilliantly brought to life by @kyrapicksflowers. Great to see the new and updated suit, created for Mrs Incedible to fight crime and help legalise superheroes.
Sylvanas
Armour cosplays are so cool, the amount of skill, dedication and no doubt patience required is incredible and @kmaggzy makes it look so great with his male Sylvanas cosplay.
Kratos
Arguably the best game of the generation, a good old man Kratos cosplay is sure to make our list and this is a fantastic one complete with the Leviathan Axe. But next year we want to see Atreus with him!
Hades
It’s all in the hair for this superb Hades cosplay, that and the great pose brings everything together and @sarcasm_hime looks amazing.
Jean Grey
Last but certainly not least…we’re big fans of this love this classic Jean Grey X-Men cosplay by @powerjemz_cosplay.
One More Cosplay…
We did say top 10…but couldn’t resist another group cosplay! we’re not sure if they all came together but we’re kind of hoping Gandalf met with Froda and then continued to pick up the others as they travelled around the halls of the Excel Centre…well we can hope.
Looking forward to seeing more great cosplay in 2019! Let us know if you’ll be cosplaying at the London Comic Con in May, we’d love to take your photo too.
In the meantime, don’t forget you can also bring your favourite gaming characters to our next GamePad event on Saturday 5th January. Cosplay most definitely welcome!
