WHAT IS GAMEPAD?
mayamada GamePad is a social gaming event promoting inclusion and diversity in gaming and its audience.
Gaming today is often seen as a disconnected activity done by individuals online, but the GamePad team is out to challenge challenging an overemphasised perception of gaming being an unsocial and geeky pastime.
mayamada GamePad provides an opportunity for guys, girls and families to get involved. It’s a space where gaming is fun for everyone, as well as a great place to make new friends playing together.
SUMMER OF SOCIAL GAMING
There is a great community of gamers supporting this event. From NGI Events and MonHun Offline to gaming companies including Ubisoft, Namco Bandai and Nintendo. That means you’ll be able to play the latest games as well as fan favourites games and competitions for prizes too!
“I LIKED THE DIVERSITY IN TERMS OF AGE RANGES AND PEOPLE, WE WERE ALL FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS AND ETHNICITIES BUT ALL WITH THE SAME LOVE…” – MIGUEL
COSPLAY, CUPCAKES AND MORE!
Cosplayers are welcome at GamePad! Showcase your favourite video game or mayamada character cosplay and you’ll get your photos taken as well as the opportunity to be crowned best cosplayer of the day!
Get to GamePad early and get a free mayamada cupcake too. The first 20 attendees through the door will get a treat to start off the day thanks to Kups Bakery ^_^
We also want to hear your gaming stories. Send us a video message of your favourite gaming memories with friends (or tag us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) and we’ll share it as part of the campaign. Let’s get the whole world talking and make this happen!
