The E3 Expo is the biggest week in the gaming calendar. So this week feels like the right time for us to launch our biggest GamePad project we’ve ever taken on: a Kickstarter for social gaming.
What is London Games Festival?
If you’ve never heard of London Games Festival (LGF), we’ll forgive you, and consider this your club initiation. LGF is now in its 2nd year and backed by the none other than the Mayor of London. Sadiq Khan is into games? It sure looks like it!
It’s a massive festival spanning 11 days and over 40 events. That’s a lot to take in so here comes mayamada with our top 5 reasons you absolutely must attend this year:
It’s that time of the year when we look back at the highlights of the past 12 months. For us at mayamada, the GamePad Christmas event was the top of that list. A big thanks goes to the team who supported us and everyone came down to made it an amazing day! Don’t worry if you missed out, check out our recap and join us again in spring 2017.
Since the end of the summer GamePad event, we’ve been working on ways to take the event to a new level and we’re excited to tell you more!
Summer’s over here in Britain and we’re looking back at a really busy few months exhibiting at comic conventions across the UK and America, met some cool new people and learned a few lessons too.
The GamePad summer 2016 event took place last month in west London. We had a blast with a great group of gamer guy and girls enjoying a day of social gaming.
May is the start of a mayamada comic convention tour where we’ll be travelling across the UK and in the US too!
Check out our tour dates below and book your tickets to see us at a convention near you.
After a break from comic conventions over December and January, we had two in February. Just like buses, wait for ages and two come along almost at once!
It’s great for us though. We got to showcase our latest manga Hot Lunch at the London Anime & Gaming Con as well as hold two talks on stage on each day of the event. Public speaking can be nerve-wracking, but when we get to talk about the mayamada universe, creating stories and comics we jump at the chance.
After LAGC, we exhibited at the London Super Comic Con for the first time and meet a whole host of great artists, old friends, and fantastic cosplayers…
At mayamada, we passionately believe in the power of creativity to make the world a more productive, engaging, and fun place to be. That belief was the motivation behind our #BeCreative campaign that launched this month.
