▼ What is manga, and is it different from comics?
Manga is effectively the same as comics i.e. sequential illustrated storytelling told panel by panel. The term comes from Japan, but the format is universal. At mayamada, we do both manga and comics in our own house style, which you can see across the titles on this website.
▼ How much does a manga commission cost?
It depends on the scope, output, and timeline. We work across a range of formats from full manga volumes and short comics to illustrated infographics and custom artwork, so there’s something to fit most budgets.
▼ What kinds of organisations do you work with on manga commissions?

▼ Do the characters have to be anthropomorphic?
Our creative universe is built around anthropomorphic characters, which is our signature approach. If you’d prefer a different direction, get in touch and we can guide you to the right option.

Manga is sequential visual storytelling i.e. structured narrative, not just images. We don’t offer ad hoc design or branding work outside that storytelling context.
